Winger Tatenda ‘TK’ Kunsanama, striker Robert ‘Sugar Sugar’ Banda and winger Lewis Mwachisemo combined for an incredible 50 goals. TK today has joined National League side Aguila Stars, Mwachisemo is on loan at Red Arrows, Banda is also in loan at Atletico Lusaka, moved from playing Division 4 football direct to Super League. On match days, the Sporting Lusaka starting line up had 3 constant features with the trio and Enock ‘Samedo’ Munkombwe and Kelvin Mulenga [now at Konkola Blades] playing behind them. TK would always be playing for the cut back his trade mark, assisted 12 goals that season. Lewis is a machine, his work rate, his final ball in the box and then his knack to be at the right place at the right time was just beautiful to see. At Independence Stadium the #TheGlamourBoys were unplayable and went into every match as the favorites partly because of this trio. One of theb St games I have watched in the last two seasons and half was Sporting Lusaka vs Milbake at Independence Stadium, Milbake came from a 3-1 down to level matters. And then Robert Banda came alive, the boy went on to win a penalty, score it, and then won the ball off the goalkeeper to score a goal to win the match 5-3, he also assisted the opener. He was part of the team that qualified to the U17 AFCON and then the World Cup where they qualified to the round of 16. TK would so often score long range beauties after cutting in from the edge of the box. Lewis Mwachisemo would always either assist or score a goal almost every game. One of the proudest moments for me is seeing my boys make moves and do things. At the moment, Peter Subakanya has taken the FAZ Lusaka Provincial Division 3 football by storm with his goal scoring prowess [10 goals in 12 apps]. In Blessings Sinyangwe, Choonya Shampongo, Victor ‘Bebem’ Simazuwo, Moses Mwela, Bongani Salei, Darius Musonda and Lucky Daka, there’s another production waiting to he unleashed. Others are goapkeeper John Mwela, Handson Chulu, James Nene Sibeene, Martin Tumbwe, Joseph Njobvu and Gift Banda. Sporting Lusaka are currently top of the log with 31 points [Won 9, Drawn 4 and Lost 1, scored 29 goals in 14 matches].
