Eden University Women’s Super League defending Champions, ZESCO Ndola Girls and Indeni Roses recorded big wins as week 7 continued on Sunday afternoon. Zegalicious Girls and Indeni Roses were on fire as they both put six past their opponents in week seven. At Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Fridah Kabwe came off the bench to score a brace as ZESCO Ndola Girls humiliated Nchanga Rangers Queens 6-0. Avell Chitundu, Eneless Phiri, Charity Mubanga and Thandiwe Ndhlovu scored a goal each. At the Cage, Chipata Girls were thumped 6-1. Ngosa Chabwe, Noria Sosala, and Edith Phiri were all on the scoresheet. At Independence Stadium, ZISD Women suffered yet another defeat as they succumbed to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Amazing Grace. Astrida Sikaala scored a first half brace to lead Amazing Grace to their first win of the season. Tendai Sani scored a consolation goal for ZISD who suffered their sixth loss of the season. The win takes Amazing Grace out of the relegation zone and up to 14th place while ZISD Women remain stuck at the bottom of the log table. At Bank of Zambia, Green Eagles returned to winning ways as they beat Elite Ladies 2-0. Goals from Theresa Chewe and Rachel Moono were enough to give the Albert Mphande coached side maximum points. The win takes Eagles back to send place with 16 points, three points behind log leaders Green Buffaloes. At Sentinel Ground, Florence Kasonde’s first goal of the season was enough to give Trident Queens a narrow 1-0 win over struggling National Assembly.
