Zambian Youngster Kelvin Phiri has completed a move to United Arab Emirates side FC Falcons from Shamuel Academy.
Shamuel took to social media to confirm the departure of the former Zambia U17 forward.
“In a landmark transfer, young and rising Zambian footballer Kelvin Phiri has joined FC Falcons in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking a significant milestone in his still growing career, this is a stepping stone to his advancement in football.
This international transfer is the second of its kind for Shamuel Academy, following the successful move of Miguel Chaiwa to Young Boys of Switzerland.”
Phiri’s transfer was facilitated by FIFA agent Nir Karin, who expressed his delight at the young player’s progress.
“Matero, the city within the city, has done it again!” Karin exclaimed. “After Miguel Chaiwa’s move to Switzerland, it’s now Kelvin Phiri’s turn to shine in Dubai. I’m very happy for Kelvin and believe his international career will be long and successful,” Karin said.
Phiri on the other hand is ecstatic at the opportunity to play abroad and thanked Shamuel proprietor Evans Kangwa.
“I’m so happy and excited for this move and can’t wait to start my professional career abroad. I want to thank my family, Evans Kangwa, the entire Shamuel family, and my agent Nir Karin for their support and trust.”
