Green Buffaloes have qualified to the 2025 ABSA Cup following Nkwazi’s 1-0 loss to Lumwana Radiants on Thursday afternoon.
Nkwazi needed just a draw to qualify to the 2025 ABSA Cup but a late heartbreak due to a William Kamwanga goal saw Buffaloes qualify in place of Nkwazi.
The Zambia army sponsored outfit have been winless in the last five games losing two games and drawing three putting Masauso Tembo’s job at jeopardy.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that Masauso Tembo’s job has been saved at the 11th hour due to the Lumwana Radiants late win.
According to ZamFoot Crew sources at Green Buffaloes, Tembo at the beginning of the season was given a 2 year performance based contract after his first contract expired in July this year.
The ZamFoot Crew can reveal that one of the requirements was to qualify for the ABSA Cup.
Despite not having a good run in recent games, he still managed to qualify for the ABSA Cup.
The ZamFoot Crew believes Masauso Tembo has given Buffaloes stability and has had quite a good run at the helm  despite the recent poor run.
Tembo has given Buffaloes an identity and the fans are beginning to believe they are title Contenders this season.
