Copper Princesses humiliate Lesotho to clinch COSAFA U17 title

The Zambia U17 Women’s National Team turned on the machine as they thrashed Lesotho to win the 2024 COSAFA U17 Women’s Championship.
Mercy Chipasula was the star of the day scoring seven goals  as the Copper Princesses saw off Lesotho with a 15-0 scoreline in the final. 
She was awarded with the player of the match for her efforts , a fourth POTM accolade in the tournament. 
Masela Sekeseke scored a hat-trick while Hellen Banda chipped in with a brace. 
Lilian Mwenda, Janet Chirwa and Wendy Mwikisa also contributed a goal each. 
Goalkeeper Loveness Chingwele was named as the goalie of the tournament while Mercy Chipasula walked away with the golden boot and player of the match accolades.
