Young Copper Queens jet into South Africa for COSAFA

The Zambia U20 Women’s National Team has arrived in South Africa ahead of the  2024 U-20 COSAFA Women’s Championship. 
The team left for Johannesburg in the early hours of Sunday and arrived in mid morning. 
Head Coach Charles Haalubono named his final 20 member squad before departure with 10 coming from the U-17 Women’s World Cup squad making the final cut. 
The second edition of the U20 Women’s Championship tournament will take place from November 19th to 24th. 
Zambia will open their campaign against Lesotho on Tuesday at 12h00CAT at the University of Johannesburg.
Five teams are taking part in this year’s edition namely: South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana and Lesotho. 
The Format of the tournament will see the teams face off in a round-robin format with three points for a win and one for a draw. The team with the most points after their four games will be declared the winner.
